How can I apply for a Subclass 190 Skilled Nominated Work Visa?
Step 1: Check the Skilled Occupation Lists to see whether your occupation is included.
This visa is only accessible to those who qualify for one of the positions on this list.
Step 2: Verify that you satisfy all qualifying requirements
To apply, you must satisfy the following requirements:
Under age 50
Basic English proficiency
Comply with all health regulations
Meet the necessary moral standards

Step 3: Complete a Skills Assessment
To be eligible for the Subclass 190 visa, you must take a Skills Assessment and achieve a passing score. Your score must meet the requirements indicated in your invitation letter (step 5). The Australian Department of Home Affairs (DHA) website has instructions on how to obtain a valid Skills Assessment.

The Skilled Nominated Work Visa (subclass 190) requires a state or territory government nomination. Once you submit your EOI, it will be accessible to government agencies seeking candidates with your skill set. If you are nominated by a government, you will receive an invitation letter to apply for the 190 visa.
Step 6: Submit an application for a Skilled Nominated Work Visa (subclass 190)
After finding an employment and receiving a nomination, you may apply online for the 190 visa through the DHA. The following list of required papers must be included with your application.
Step 7: Await a determination
The DHA may take many months to reach a determination on your visa application. In 2016, the 190 visa processing time was three months.
Step 8: Receive your visa and begin your employment
Upon approval of your application, you will obtain your visa and be able to begin working in Australia.
